If you have launched the game in online mode once, follow these steps completely every time you want to play from now on:

  Completely Exit Steam: Right-click the Steam icon in the system tray at the bottom right (next to the clock) and select "Exit Steam" to make sure it is not running in the background.

  Disconnect Your Internet: Completely disconnect your PC internet (unplug your Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi).

  Launch Steam While Offline: Open Steam while disconnected. If prompted for username and password, enter them from the portal and log in.

  Click "Start in Offline Mode": Because there is no connection, a dialog will appear. Click "Start in Offline Mode".

  Verify Offline Mode: Once Steam opens, to ensure complete security, click the "Steam" menu in the top left and verify "Go Offline..." is active.

  Launch Your Game: You can now start the game from your Steam Library and enjoy uninterrupted gameplay.

  Reconnect to the Internet: Once the game launches into the main menu, you can plug your internet cable back in or reconnect Wi-Fi if desired.
